Narrative:
Meigs was experiencing windy conditions at the time of our approach and landing. The wind was 280 degrees at 17 KTS gusting to 25 KTS. On short final to runway 36 the tower advised us of windshear. We were prepared to go around and fly to midway if necessary. The approach was challenging, but manageable. We touched down successfully under control while holding maximum wing down into the wind. The rollout proceeded normally for several seconds but then the right main tire blew out and the aircraft veered right and stopped with all the gear off the runway on the grass. Upon examination, the tire appeared thin but svcable.
