Climbing to assigned cruise altitude FL290 experienced moderate turbulence passing 28000 ft. I was briefing flight attendants regarding turbulence. Next thing ATC ZOB called stating 'show 600 ft high.' captain confirmed stating unable to maintain FL290 due turbulence.
