While conducting a training flight on emergency landing procedures to a licensed pilot for currency review, we did a simulated engine out over a former airport, made 2 approachs down to approximately 500 ft and climbed out in veering turn to avoid proximity to a house nearby in a sparsely populated area. A woman reported our aircraft to the FSDO in windsor locks, ct.
