Narrative:
We were assigned to turn to a heading of 265 degrees at akeem. I was approximately 4 mi late in making the turn. When the controller asked if we made the turn at akeem the captain replied yes. We were already in the turn at that time.

Title: FLC OF A DC10 FAILED TO TURN TO A NEWLY ASSIGNED HDG IN A TIMELY MANNER CAUSING ATC TO INQUIRE AS TO IF THEY WERE TURNING DURING THE TIME THAT THEY FINALLY WERE DOING SO.
Narrative: WE WERE ASSIGNED TO TURN TO A HDG OF 265 DEGS AT AKEEM. I WAS APPROX 4 MI LATE IN MAKING THE TURN. WHEN THE CTLR ASKED IF WE MADE THE TURN AT AKEEM THE CAPT REPLIED YES. WE WERE ALREADY IN THE TURN AT THAT TIME.
