Narrative:
I have been conducting check rides to this airport for the last 5 yrs, at night in lear jets. I had just discussed missed approach procedures with columbus approach. We have always executed a missed approach from the ILS and that's what I was planning on. Lck tower cleared us 'to land.' I acknowledged and didn't clarify that we wanted to miss. Upon executing the miss, our microphone became stuck resulting in a few moments of confusion. After clearing that up, we learned that we were expected to land runway 5R, and depart runway 23L, per noise abatement. I was not aware of noise abatement procedures at that time. In summary, we basically missed the approach when cleared to land, and we might have wakened some people. I guess I was complacent in that I've always executed a missed approach from that point and expected and planned to do so, even though cleared to 'land' instead of the usual cleared for the 'option.'

Title: FLC OF AN LTT ATX JET DURING A CHK FLT EXECUTED A MISSED APCH PROC INSTEAD OF LNDG AS CLRED, SINCE THE OPTION WAS NOT CALLED FOR, OR APPROVED, BY TWR DUE TO NIGHT RWY NOISE ABATEMENT PROCS FROM THE ILS RWY USED.
