Narrative:
The air conditioning in tower is inadequate to keep up with the afternoon heating. We leave the tower sweating. The outside air temperature 94 degrees. The tower temperature was 84 degrees at XX15. When the texas heat rises into the 100's we could have people faint! Furthermore, the heat could cause all of the equipment in the tower to fail! Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter stated the air conditioning system is shared with another room which has a thermostat. Reporter indicated that this room is generally cooler than the tower and so the thermostat is adjusted accordingly which directly affects the tower temperature. Reporter assumes, as stated, that this has been an on-going situation since the reporter has only been at the facility for a short time. Reporter was told by the union representative to file the report. Reporter does not know if the facility manager is aware of or taken action to correct the problem.

WHEN THE TEXAS HEAT RISES INTO THE 100'S WE COULD HAVE PEOPLE FAINT! FURTHERMORE, THE HEAT COULD CAUSE ALL OF THE EQUIP IN THE TWR TO FAIL! CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: RPTR STATED THE AIR CONDITIONING SYS IS SHARED WITH ANOTHER ROOM WHICH HAS A THERMOSTAT. RPTR INDICATED THAT THIS ROOM IS GENERALLY COOLER THAN THE TWR AND SO THE THERMOSTAT IS ADJUSTED ACCORDINGLY WHICH DIRECTLY AFFECTS THE TWR TEMP. RPTR ASSUMES, AS STATED, THAT THIS HAS BEEN AN ON-GOING SIT SINCE THE RPTR HAS ONLY BEEN AT THE FACILITY FOR A SHORT TIME. RPTR WAS TOLD BY THE UNION REPRESENTATIVE TO FILE THE RPT. RPTR DOES NOT KNOW IF THE FACILITY MGR IS AWARE OF OR TAKEN ACTION TO CORRECT THE PROB.
