Narrative:

We had been holding at a hard stand, awaiting release. Ground cleared us to taxi to, and hold short of runway 8. Due to construction on the field, the hold short line was not properly marked with yellow lines. I was expecting to see the hold short line on the intersecting taxiway, but it was on the parallel taxiway, 100 yds before the intersection. The captain had misunderstood the taxi clearance, and was planning to pull into position on the runway, when I told him our clearance was to 'hold short.' due to the airport construction and improperly marked taxiway, we stopped quite close to the runway. An air carrier Y, A300, was landing and passed close to our nose in his flare.

Title: FLC OF AN LGT FAILED TO HOLD SHORT AND PASSED THE LINE BEFORE THE FO STOPPED THE CAPT FROM TAXIING FURTHER AND ONTO THE RWY CAUSING A LNDG A300 TO TOUCH DOWN NEAR THE NOSE OF THEIR ACFT.

Narrative: WE HAD BEEN HOLDING AT A HARD STAND, AWAITING RELEASE. GND CLRED US TO TAXI TO, AND HOLD SHORT OF RWY 8. DUE TO CONSTRUCTION ON THE FIELD, THE HOLD SHORT LINE WAS NOT PROPERLY MARKED WITH YELLOW LINES. I WAS EXPECTING TO SEE THE HOLD SHORT LINE ON THE INTERSECTING TXWY, BUT IT WAS ON THE PARALLEL TXWY, 100 YDS BEFORE THE INTXN. THE CAPT HAD MISUNDERSTOOD THE TAXI CLRNC, AND WAS PLANNING TO PULL INTO POS ON THE RWY, WHEN I TOLD HIM OUR CLRNC WAS TO 'HOLD SHORT.' DUE TO THE ARPT CONSTRUCTION AND IMPROPERLY MARKED TXWY, WE STOPPED QUITE CLOSE TO THE RWY. AN ACR Y, A300, WAS LNDG AND PASSED CLOSE TO OUR NOSE IN HIS FLARE.
