Narrative:
While being marshaled on the ramp in alb, ny, the left wingtip brushed a chain link fence knocking off the strobe light. The ramp space is very small, there were no wing walkers. It appeared that there was ample clearance. The marshaller signaled a right turn and the wingtip brushed the fence. Minor damage was done to the wingtip. An irregularity report was filed with the company. The albany FSDO was there to investigate and took our certificate numbers. The aircraft was checked over by a certified mechanic and then a proper ferry permit was completed prior to departure to ferry the aircraft to the maintenance base in plattsburg, ny.
