Narrative:
While slowing to 210 KTS at refil on the approach to dfw, our B727-200 pitched over with the autoplt engaged and altitude hold engaged. The first officer took immediate action, but the aircraft lost 300 ft of altitude. ATC noticed on their scope that we had left 11000 ft.

Title: AN ACR B727-200 CREW FAILED TO MAINTAIN ITS ASSIGNED ALT WHILE SLOWING ON AUTOPLT. ERROR ADMITTED.
Narrative: WHILE SLOWING TO 210 KTS AT REFIL ON THE APCH TO DFW, OUR B727-200 PITCHED OVER WITH THE AUTOPLT ENGAGED AND ALT HOLD ENGAGED. THE FO TOOK IMMEDIATE ACTION, BUT THE ACFT LOST 300 FT OF ALT. ATC NOTICED ON THEIR SCOPE THAT WE HAD LEFT 11000 FT.
