Narrative:
Flew aircraft possibly involved in wire strike from battle creek to rockford. Pilot examined aircraft and was in telephone conversation with repair facility and pilot. Determined aircraft airworthy to transport for maintenance. Upon arrival at rockford, a&P examined aircraft and found no damage that would make aircraft unairworthy. Could possibly had mechanic (a&P) from rockford travel to battle creek to inspect aircraft. However, PF was involved in the restoration of the aircraft and was familiar with aircraft enough to make judgement as to it being airworthy. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter stated that he had struck a wire and brought it approximately 9 mi northeast of battle creek, mi. He returned to land to see if there was any significant aircraft damage and discussed the matter with repairpersons to which he was flying for an engine oil change. He did notify the FAA and NTSB in case they were called and needed to know. So far he has not heard further from any of these agencies.

Title: PLT OF A T28 STRUCK UTILITY WIRE DURING A LOW LEVEL FLT CAUSING MINOR DAMAGE TO THE PROP BLADES AND DENTS IN THE ENG COWLING. RPTR DID LAND TO INSPECT THE ACFT FOR DAMAGE AND THEN CONTINUED ON TO DEST.
Narrative: FLEW ACFT POSSIBLY INVOLVED IN WIRE STRIKE FROM BATTLE CREEK TO ROCKFORD. PLT EXAMINED ACFT AND WAS IN TELEPHONE CONVERSATION WITH REPAIR FACILITY AND PLT. DETERMINED ACFT AIRWORTHY TO TRANSPORT FOR MAINT. UPON ARR AT ROCKFORD, A&P EXAMINED ACFT AND FOUND NO DAMAGE THAT WOULD MAKE ACFT UNAIRWORTHY. COULD POSSIBLY HAD MECH (A&P) FROM ROCKFORD TRAVEL TO BATTLE CREEK TO INSPECT ACFT. HOWEVER, PF WAS INVOLVED IN THE RESTORATION OF THE ACFT AND WAS FAMILIAR WITH ACFT ENOUGH TO MAKE JUDGEMENT AS TO IT BEING AIRWORTHY. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: RPTR STATED THAT HE HAD STRUCK A WIRE AND BROUGHT IT APPROX 9 MI NE OF BATTLE CREEK, MI. HE RETURNED TO LAND TO SEE IF THERE WAS ANY SIGNIFICANT ACFT DAMAGE AND DISCUSSED THE MATTER WITH REPAIRPERSONS TO WHICH HE WAS FLYING FOR AN ENG OIL CHANGE. HE DID NOTIFY THE FAA AND NTSB IN CASE THEY WERE CALLED AND NEEDED TO KNOW. SO FAR HE HAS NOT HEARD FURTHER FROM ANY OF THESE AGENCIES.
