Narrative:
New routing received while holding short of runway 27L. When takeoff clearance was received only the first 2 waypoints of new route were loaded in #1 INS and only #1 NAVAID frequency was tuned to identify ditch (first waypoint). Shortly after takeoff we were cleared to intercept a different radial of the same NAVAID and then intercept and track J225 to jfk. Jfk frequency was tuned but we missed the airway by approximately 10 mi. Corrected heading and requested direct jfk.

Narrative: NEW ROUTING RECEIVED WHILE HOLDING SHORT OF RWY 27L. WHEN TKOF CLRNC WAS RECEIVED ONLY THE FIRST 2 WAYPOINTS OF NEW RTE WERE LOADED IN #1 INS AND ONLY #1 NAVAID FREQ WAS TUNED TO IDENT DITCH (FIRST WAYPOINT). SHORTLY AFTER TKOF WE WERE CLRED TO INTERCEPT A DIFFERENT RADIAL OF THE SAME NAVAID AND THEN INTERCEPT AND TRACK J225 TO JFK. JFK FREQ WAS TUNED BUT WE MISSED THE AIRWAY BY APPROX 10 MI. CORRECTED HDG AND REQUESTED DIRECT JFK.
