Narrative:
On a maintenance flight to test an overhauled right engine. The engine connection to the right engine power lever came loose and the engine reduced to idle power as designed. I performed a precautionary engine shutdown and elected to ask for emergency assistance for vectors to pontiac. ATC was very helpful and I returned to the field without incident. There was no damage to the aircraft or engine.
