Narrative:
After having already experienced 1 emergency landing and overweight landing and maintenance repair, the aircraft was dispatched again to uio. After takeoff, the spoiler EICAS message appeared again, and we again declared an emergency and made an uneventful overweight landing at miami. Aircraft was taken OTS. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: this air carrier flight crew was flying a B757-200 that had had a previous EICAS message related to a spoiler problem and after maintenance had repaired the aircraft the flight crew was attempting their second departure of the day. Again as the aircraft lifted off the EICAS displayed the spoiler malfunction message and the flight crew returned for an overweight landing. This time the flight was canceled until the following day. The mechanics replaced a spoiler actuator and inspected the aircraft in accordance with the overweight landing requirements.

Title: AN ACR FLC HAS 2 SPOILER MALFUNCTION MESSAGES ON 2 DIFFERENT TKOFS FOLLOWED BY RETURNS WITH OVERWT LNDGS.
Narrative: AFTER HAVING ALREADY EXPERIENCED 1 EMER LNDG AND OVERWT LNDG AND MAINT REPAIR, THE ACFT WAS DISPATCHED AGAIN TO UIO. AFTER TKOF, THE SPOILER EICAS MESSAGE APPEARED AGAIN, AND WE AGAIN DECLARED AN EMER AND MADE AN UNEVENTFUL OVERWT LNDG AT MIAMI. ACFT WAS TAKEN OTS. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THIS ACR FLC WAS FLYING A B757-200 THAT HAD HAD A PREVIOUS EICAS MESSAGE RELATED TO A SPOILER PROB AND AFTER MAINT HAD REPAIRED THE ACFT THE FLC WAS ATTEMPTING THEIR SECOND DEP OF THE DAY. AGAIN AS THE ACFT LIFTED OFF THE EICAS DISPLAYED THE SPOILER MALFUNCTION MESSAGE AND THE FLC RETURNED FOR AN OVERWT LNDG. THIS TIME THE FLT WAS CANCELED UNTIL THE FOLLOWING DAY. THE MECHS REPLACED A SPOILER ACTUATOR AND INSPECTED THE ACFT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE OVERWT LNDG REQUIREMENTS.
