Narrative:
On climb out from sdf on our way to ewr we were deviating around several thunderstorm build-ups along with being vectored around descending traffic. We had been cleared to FL230, as we passed FL185 center asked us to stop at FL200. Autoplt was engaged with FL200 in the altitude window. The altitude captured but autoplt was slow to level. I noticed the altitude going through FL201 and pushed forward on the yoke until I felt the captain pushing also, then I let him handle it. We were not aggressive enough as the altimeter went to 20320 ft. Contributing factors: this airplane is one we lease and has some differences on the autoplt control panel. I was not aggressive enough, even though I knew the captain was flying this trip to get his 3 lndgs in 90 days (wasn't as current as he could have been). Both of us were spending too much time looking outside at WX and traffic and relying on the autoplt too much.
