Narrative:

We were told by departure control to turn immediately to 180 degree heading due to conflicting traffic. We complied. We were on a breesy climb, cleared to 11000 ft, TCASII did not activate, no further action taken. Ny asked what radial we were flying and we responded canarsie 223. We thought maybe they thought we were on a canarsie climb (ATC).

Narrative: WE WERE TOLD BY DEP CTL TO TURN IMMEDIATELY TO 180 DEG HDG DUE TO CONFLICTING TFC. WE COMPLIED.
