Narrative:

So advised after we leveled in cruise (FL310) that #2 engine oil quantity was dropping. Diverted to far, 100 mi away. Ran engine until approximately 1 gallon of oil. Shut down while pressure and temperatures normal. Oil quantity continued to drop. Normal landing made. No emergency declared. Passenger were notified that we were losing oil in #2 engine. Flight attendant was advised, also ATC when we shut engine down on approximately 8 mi final.

Narrative: SO ADVISED AFTER WE LEVELED IN CRUISE (FL310) THAT #2 ENG OIL QUANTITY WAS DROPPING. DIVERTED TO FAR, 100 MI AWAY. RAN ENG UNTIL APPROX 1 GALLON OF OIL. SHUT DOWN WHILE PRESSURE AND TEMPS NORMAL. OIL QUANTITY CONTINUED TO DROP. NORMAL LNDG MADE. NO EMER DECLARED. PAX WERE NOTIFIED THAT WE WERE LOSING OIL IN #2 ENG. FLT ATTENDANT WAS ADVISED, ALSO ATC WHEN WE SHUT ENG DOWN ON APPROX 8 MI FINAL.
