Narrative:
I was working the radar position at the roc TRACON when I observed the loss of all primary radar targets. I notified the supervisor who in turn notified a radar technician. The technician went out to the radar site and reset channel 'a.' he stated that he could not find the problem and it may have been caused by a power surge. I also feel there should be an aural alarm on the ASR9 system control panel to alert controllers of a problem.
