Narrative:
At jfk once landed, notified operations we were on the ground, assigned outer parking. Proceeded to the outer. Stopped at outer awaiting ramp personnel to marshall me in. 2 ramp personnel proceeded to guide me in. Guide man #1 brought me in to an angle of about 50 degrees to my final turn. Adjacent to my parking spot were 2 portable spotlights used for illumination during night hours. We were given the final signal to turn by guide man #1, turned towards the left, where guide man #2 took over while guide man #1 was used for clearance from ground equipment. Guide man #1 and ground equipment were to my right side. First officer was observing the guide man #1. Guide man #2 straightened out the arc for a better turn but the clearance of the right wingtip from the portable spotlight was misjudged by guide man #1 (giving ok signals to the first officer and guide man #2) whom I was following. Right wingtip hit the portable spotlight, barely touched and felt the impact. Damage was cosmetic, right wing navigation light's glass cover was broken. No other damage to the aircraft. Glass cover was replaced by maintenance and aircraft returned to service.
