Narrative:

Jul/xa/96, BBB airlines fl zz at ZZZ international airport aircraft VVV arrived with air-conditioning write-up stating: flight attendants report metallic sound in air-conditioning around aisle 21 right side intermittent also loud steady swishing sound around row 14 right side. I, mechanic, BBB employee operated APU pneumatics with both packs on listening in cabin and outside aircraft in vicinity of packs and opened right air-conditioning bay door. No discrepancies found. I also checked aircraft history found none pertaining to air- conditioning. I signed the write-up off, ok. No problems noted on ground at dulles. It flew ZZZ-XXX (jul/xa/96) XXX-YYY (jul/xa/96) overnighted at YYY with 'a' check. Jul/xb/96, flew YYY-iad. Aircraft en route ZZZ-VVV depressurized FL370 to 10000 ft diverted to WWW.
