My apologies for the possible difficulty attaching these remarks to the report already submitted. In retrospect, I believe best situation management would have been to simply execute the crossing descent early to have it completed before my departure from the cockpit.

Title: AN ACR MD80 CAPT APOLOGIZES FOR SOME UNKNOWN MISDEED WHICH MAY INCLUDE AN ALTDEV WHILE HE WAS OUT OF THE COCKPIT.
Narrative: MY APOLOGIES FOR THE POSSIBLE DIFFICULTY ATTACHING THESE REMARKS TO THE RPT ALREADY SUBMITTED. IN RETROSPECT, I BELIEVE BEST SIT MGMNT WOULD HAVE BEEN TO SIMPLY EXECUTE THE XING DSCNT EARLY TO HAVE IT COMPLETED BEFORE MY DEP FROM THE COCKPIT.
