Narrative:
Terminal doppler WX radar is routinely going into alarm. System alarms and malfunctions frequently. Tdwr is only means of detecting windshear, microbursts, etc. Supplemental information from acn 343345: terminal doppler WX radar failed. Supplemental information from acn 343390: terminal doppler WX radar OTS. Has been down most of afternoon. Level 5 thunderstorms are in the area. Tdwr fails consistently when WX is in the area. Tdwr fails several times per week at mci.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 343345: TERMINAL DOPPLER WX RADAR FAILED. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 343390: TERMINAL DOPPLER WX RADAR OTS. HAS BEEN DOWN MOST OF AFTERNOON. LEVEL 5 TSTMS ARE IN THE AREA. TDWR FAILS CONSISTENTLY WHEN WX IS IN THE AREA. TDWR FAILS SEVERAL TIMES PER WK AT MCI.
