Narrative:

While performing tower fly-by doing trailing cone static source calibration tests at sln runway 35, crew heard a loud bang when turning final. Low approach was aborted. Crew chief reported dent on left engine lip visible through cabin window. Landed normally. On post-flight, it was noted that the left overwing fuselage fairing was torn off. Panel is a light weight composite. Aircraft sustained minor damage, no injuries to crew or persons on ground. Pilot reported possible bird strike to tower. Next aircraft on approach reported seeing a hawk circling in approximately the same location.
