Narrative:
Due to late aircraft inbound, maintenance, weight and balance and passenger service difficulties, I pushed back and departed with a round- trip release, smf-sna-smf, 1:15 after scheduled departure without amending the release with dispatch. Due to late departure from smf and short scheduled turn at sna, I pushed again with release out of time limit. (Smf, 15 mins/sna, 9 mins.) more diligence by myself, first officer and dispatch would alleviate this problem.

DUE TO LATE DEP FROM SMF AND SHORT SCHEDULED TURN AT SNA, I PUSHED AGAIN WITH RELEASE OUT OF TIME LIMIT. (SMF, 15 MINS/SNA, 9 MINS.)
