Narrative:

We were assigned gate X at ord. Upon entering the ramp we saw the guidemen and parked. The only problem was that we parked at gate Y. Oops. The ramp controller said that this wasn't a problem as both airplanes were fokers. They simply switched gates. In hindsight this was my fault. I saw the guidemen at one gate and not the other, so we parked. I am glad that no harm was done and the ramp controller said not to worry about it.

Title: AN ACR F100 PARKED AT THE WRONG GATE. CAPT SAW A GUIDEMAN AT A GATE NEAR HIS ASSIGNED GATE AND HE TURNED INTO THAT GATE.

Narrative: WE WERE ASSIGNED GATE X AT ORD. UPON ENTERING THE RAMP WE SAW THE GUIDEMEN AND PARKED. THE ONLY PROB WAS THAT WE PARKED AT GATE Y. OOPS. THE RAMP CTLR SAID THAT THIS WASN'T A PROB AS BOTH AIRPLANES WERE FOKERS. THEY SIMPLY SWITCHED GATES. IN HINDSIGHT THIS WAS MY FAULT. I SAW THE GUIDEMEN AT ONE GATE AND NOT THE OTHER, SO WE PARKED. I AM GLAD THAT NO HARM WAS DONE AND THE RAMP CTLR SAID NOT TO WORRY ABOUT IT.
