Narrative:

While departing on the eagul 3 departure out of phx, the SID has a crossing restr at 4 DME which was deleted by ATC, and a turn to 360 degrees at 9 DME. As the first officer, I mistakenly made the turn at 4 not 9 DME. In the turn we discovered my mistake and informed departure. He said to just maintain our present heading and later said it was no big deal. This was due to the late hour and my misreading the SID in the climb out.
