Narrative:
Upon final landing, I did not see pwrlines strung across field. Just before touchdown, I noticed them and pulled out the top deflating balloon. The envelope of balloon then draped over lines causing the transformer to blow. No damage to lines, balloons or any injury. Power company reset lines.

Title: A HOT AIR BALLOON ENVELOPE HIT PWRLINES UPON LNDG IN A SPECIAL INTEREST ACTIVITY BALLOON RACE.
Narrative: UPON FINAL LNDG, I DID NOT SEE PWRLINES STRUNG ACROSS FIELD. JUST BEFORE TOUCHDOWN, I NOTICED THEM AND PULLED OUT THE TOP DEFLATING BALLOON. THE ENVELOPE OF BALLOON THEN DRAPED OVER LINES CAUSING THE TRANSFORMER TO BLOW. NO DAMAGE TO LINES, BALLOONS OR ANY INJURY. PWR COMPANY RESET LINES.
