Narrative:

After landing at dfw, ramp told us we had a 40 min wait for the gate. There were several aircraft lined up on taxiway left awaiting gates. Tower told us to turn left on taxiway left, left on taxiway a. We turned left on taxiway left, missed the turn on taxiway a, and got in line with the other aircraft. Tower told us we missed the turn and to contact ground. Ground said no problem.

Narrative: AFTER LNDG AT DFW, RAMP TOLD US WE HAD A 40 MIN WAIT FOR THE GATE. THERE WERE SEVERAL ACFT LINED UP ON TXWY L AWAITING GATES. TWR TOLD US TO TURN LEFT ON TXWY L, LEFT ON TXWY A. WE TURNED LEFT ON TXWY L, MISSED THE TURN ON TXWY A, AND GOT IN LINE WITH THE OTHER ACFT. TWR TOLD US WE MISSED THE TURN AND TO CONTACT GND. GND SAID NO PROB.
