Narrative:
Our operations controller called and verified total passenger load of 32 adults, 2 children. We were given a baggage load of cargo #1 -- 718 pounds, cargo #2 -- 470 pounds for a total of 1188 pounds. My first officer advised that we were at 29308 pounds for taxi -- maximum taxi weight is 29300 pounds (sf-340B plus). He computed our taxi burn at 176 pounds which would be a takeoff weight of 29132 pounds. Maximum takeoff weight is 29000 pounds. A gate agent came to the aircraft and removed 1 adult passenger (170 pounds). We recomputed our takeoff weight to be 28962 pounds. After takeoff the operations controller contacted us and advised that the bag controller had authority/authorized 1306 pounds of bags and that was what was loaded. That would have put us overweight for takeoff. We computed our en route burn to our destination and advised dispatch that we would be under our maximum landing weight. At the destination, we counted bags as they were removed and came up with the following actual numbers. Cargo #1 34 checked bags and 6 gate bags equals 859 pounds. Cargo #2 17 checked bags equal 400 pounds, for a total of 1259 pounds. Communication, communication, communication.

Title: SAAB 340B FLC HAS ERRONEOUS WT AND BAL INFO GIVEN TO THEM. A PAX IS REMOVED. IT IS DISCOVERED AT DEST THAT BAGGAGE WT WAS LESS THAN ISSUED TO THE FLC.
Narrative: OUR OPS CTLR CALLED AND VERIFIED TOTAL PAX LOAD OF 32 ADULTS, 2 CHILDREN. WE WERE GIVEN A BAGGAGE LOAD OF CARGO #1 -- 718 LBS, CARGO #2 -- 470 LBS FOR A TOTAL OF 1188 LBS. MY FO ADVISED THAT WE WERE AT 29308 LBS FOR TAXI -- MAX TAXI WT IS 29300 LBS (SF-340B PLUS). HE COMPUTED OUR TAXI BURN AT 176 LBS WHICH WOULD BE A TKOF WT OF 29132 LBS. MAX TKOF WT IS 29000 LBS. A GATE AGENT CAME TO THE ACFT AND REMOVED 1 ADULT PAX (170 LBS). WE RECOMPUTED OUR TKOF WT TO BE 28962 LBS. AFTER TKOF THE OPS CTLR CONTACTED US AND ADVISED THAT THE BAG CTLR HAD AUTH 1306 LBS OF BAGS AND THAT WAS WHAT WAS LOADED. THAT WOULD HAVE PUT US OVERWT FOR TKOF. WE COMPUTED OUR ENRTE BURN TO OUR DEST AND ADVISED DISPATCH THAT WE WOULD BE UNDER OUR MAX LNDG WT. AT THE DEST, WE COUNTED BAGS AS THEY WERE REMOVED AND CAME UP WITH THE FOLLOWING ACTUAL NUMBERS. CARGO #1 34 CHKED BAGS AND 6 GATE BAGS EQUALS 859 LBS. CARGO #2 17 CHKED BAGS EQUAL 400 LBS, FOR A TOTAL OF 1259 LBS. COM, COM, COM.
