Narrative:
While a controller was vectoring an air carrier aircraft to aby with marginal VFR conditions and the aby ILS OTS, the ashburn lrr was taken down for maintenance without notification to the controller working the aircraft/sector affected. This is unacceptable and poses a potential safety hazard.

Title: ZJX CTLR ALLEGES THAT AIRWAY FACILITIES PERSONNEL REMOVED THE NDB FROM SVC WITHOUT PROPER SECTOR COORD. MARGINAL WX CONDITIONS PREVAILED WITH THE ILS ALREADY OTS.
Narrative: WHILE A CTLR WAS VECTORING AN ACR ACFT TO ABY WITH MARGINAL VFR CONDITIONS AND THE ABY ILS OTS, THE ASHBURN LRR WAS TAKEN DOWN FOR MAINT WITHOUT NOTIFICATION TO THE CTLR WORKING THE ACFT/SECTOR AFFECTED. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AND POSES A POTENTIAL SAFETY HAZARD.
