Narrative:
Engine failure at time of unknown cause. Performed immediate action items, declared emergency and crash fire rescue equipment made return to ILS runway 12 alo. Flew approach to wear minimum. Normal landing and rollout. No injuries or damage. Aircraft propeller gear box apparently was destroyed which caused hydromechanical unit fuel unit to stop sending fuel and caused instant flameout and failure.

Title: JETSTREAM 31. ACFT EQUIP PROB. ENG FAILURE DUE TO PROP GEAR BOX FAILURE RESULTING IN HYDROMECHANICAL FUEL UNIT TO STOP SENDING FUEL AND FLAMEOUT.
Narrative: ENG FAILURE AT TIME OF UNKNOWN CAUSE. PERFORMED IMMEDIATE ACTION ITEMS, DECLARED EMER AND CFR MADE RETURN TO ILS RWY 12 ALO. FLEW APCH TO WEAR MINIMUM. NORMAL LNDG AND ROLLOUT. NO INJURIES OR DAMAGE. ACFT PROP GEAR BOX APPARENTLY WAS DESTROYED WHICH CAUSED HYDROMECHANICAL UNIT FUEL UNIT TO STOP SENDING FUEL AND CAUSED INSTANT FLAMEOUT AND FAILURE.
