Narrative:
Training flight on sep/wed/96 in a duchess, beechcraft airplane (BE76) from pwk to ugn for the purpose of option lndgs at ugn and return to pwk. Conditions were VFR, 12000 ft scattered with light winds and good visibility. Student was in the left seat acting as pilot. I was in the right seat acting as CFI. 3 option lndgs were completed. A fourth landing had been accomplished. On the go portion: airplane on centerline, flaps being retracted, power was beginning to be applied, then the nose gear on the BE76 collapsed. Brakes were applied and the airplane came to a stop. After securing mixtures, throttles, and master switch the aircraft was evacuate/evacuationed. Currently, maintenance technicians are reviewing airplane for cause of nose gear collapse.
