Near midair collision. Both small transport aircraft. Approach controller error had 2 aircraft at same altitude. Reporter saw other aircraft taking evasive action. After landing, reporter talked with ATC supervisor who said a controller had goofed.

Narrative:
Twin passed directly in front of us southwest heading in 45 degree right bank to avoid collision. I called controller (msp approach 127.92) to report near miss. Heard his inquiry to another aircraft 'who assigned you 6000 ft?' controller then advised me to call. I made the call after landing at suw at XX30. Was put through to supervisor. He said 'one of our guys goofed.' took my name, phone numbers. He said other aircraft was a navajo.
