Narrative:

Taxiing into gate, aircraft was taxied in a slow and careful manner with clear signals from all ground people. Supplemental information from acn 347760: neither ground control nor company advised that gate was occupied. Other aircraft pushed back as we entered ramp. Aircraft appeared to be pushing way back so as to allow us onto jetway. We were taxiing on 1 engine. We made a tight right 90 degree turn, with engine at idle thrust and turned onto the run-in line. I discovered aus procedures had been changed. Aircraft cannot taxi in front of another aircraft that has pushed back from a gate. For over 17 yrs, aircraft could taxi in front of another company aircraft. If ground had directed us to hold then the conflict would not have arisen.

Narrative: TAXIING INTO GATE, ACFT WAS TAXIED IN A SLOW AND CAREFUL MANNER WITH CLR SIGNALS FROM ALL GND PEOPLE. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 347760: NEITHER GND CTL NOR COMPANY ADVISED THAT GATE WAS OCCUPIED. OTHER ACFT PUSHED BACK AS WE ENTERED RAMP. I DISCOVERED AUS PROCS HAD BEEN CHANGED. ACFT CANNOT TAXI IN FRONT OF ANOTHER ACFT THAT HAS PUSHED BACK FROM A GATE. FOR OVER 17 YRS, ACFT COULD TAXI IN FRONT OF ANOTHER COMPANY ACFT.
