Narrative:
Was asked by tower to make short approach to runway due to incoming jetliner. Upon landing, applied maximum braking power to exit as soon as possible and locked the right wheel, causing the tire destruction. Airport was closed for 1 hour pending towing of my airplane off the active runway. This incident was caused by my eagerness to impress the tower and my passenger with my short landing abilities.

Title: BEECH 55 BARON LNDG, ASKED BY THE TWR TO MAKE SHORT LNDG ACCOUNT INCOMING JET TFC. USED EXCESSIVE BRAKES AND LOCKED UP R WHEEL, BLOWING TIRE. ARPT CLOSED FOR 1 HR.
Narrative: WAS ASKED BY TWR TO MAKE SHORT APCH TO RWY DUE TO INCOMING JETLINER. UPON LNDG, APPLIED MAX BRAKING PWR TO EXIT ASAP AND LOCKED THE R WHEEL, CAUSING THE TIRE DESTRUCTION. ARPT WAS CLOSED FOR 1 HR PENDING TOWING OF MY AIRPLANE OFF THE ACTIVE RWY. THIS INCIDENT WAS CAUSED BY MY EAGERNESS TO IMPRESS THE TWR AND MY PAX WITH MY SHORT LNDG ABILITIES.
