Narrative:
Our wind equipment has been broken on and off for almost a yr (mostly off). We cannot give pilots the correct velocity which makes it an unsafe operation. Corrective action: fix it once and for all. Callback conversation with facility revealed the following information: a callback to the facility revealed that the wind equipment is again operating satisfactorily. However, there is an alleged cable problem that is causing the failures and that has not been replaced. According to the facility, this cable should be replaced to ensure adequate reporting service.

Narrative: OUR WIND EQUIP HAS BEEN BROKEN ON AND OFF FOR ALMOST A YR (MOSTLY OFF). WE CANNOT GIVE PLTS THE CORRECT VELOCITY WHICH MAKES IT AN UNSAFE OP. CORRECTIVE ACTION: FIX IT ONCE AND FOR ALL. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH FACILITY REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: A CALLBACK TO THE FACILITY REVEALED THAT THE WIND EQUIP IS AGAIN OPERATING SATISFACTORILY. HOWEVER, THERE IS AN ALLEGED CABLE PROB THAT IS CAUSING THE FAILURES AND THAT HAS NOT BEEN REPLACED. ACCORDING TO THE FACILITY, THIS CABLE SHOULD BE REPLACED TO ENSURE ADEQUATE RPTING SVC.
