Narrative:
Very tired coming out of wichita that morning, was just too wound up to go to sleep the night before. On climb out was told to fly heading 020 degrees. The first officer moved the heading knob as I had not responded to the call. Somewhere in the back of my mind I thought it was a clearance on course. I turned the heading bug further right to 200 degrees. ATC then asked where we were going as we were now going south. In the same sentence told us to expedite climb through 7000 ft and we did.
