Narrative:
Generator needed to be reset. While resetting altitude hold/capture unlocked. Were cleared to 11000 ft at 250 KIAS. Captain was anticipating capture and looking for called traffic. I (sic) was changing and resetting radio frequencys from ncs- 31. Both captain and I looked inside to verify altitude capture associated with altitude select chime. Flew through about 300- 400 ft, leveled and nosed over. Had inbound traffic at 12000 ft to about 5 mi. No real excitement with opposing traffic. Had to push aircraft over firmly. Correction area: have departure straight out versus under arrival corridor at near altitudes.
