Narrative:
Received a radar plot from operations that we had not flown the appropriate SID. Upon further review we found that we had operated with an outdated SID. The new SID was issued on oct/xx/96 and put into aircraft specific mail boxes. At our departure date from home base there were no revisions found in our aircraft mail box, therefore we had the old outdated ones. Another issue is that some of these sids have you flying certain tracks that are not based on navaids but on dead reckoning, to compensate for wind drift by reading off the drift angle off the INS. This is a totally outdated method of navigation. We for sure need at least latitude and longitude from waypoint to waypoint that is not based on permanent navaids.
