Narrative:

While in cruise we noticed the VOR acting very unstable with numerous corrections needed. After what I thought was a good heading correction I became occupied with a traffic watch and a few mins later noticed a full scale deflection. I started to correct when the center gave me a new course for correction. I fly this route quite frequently and notice the vors seem to be very unstable in this area on a continuing basis. No traffic conflicts occurred.
