Narrative:
On taxi out for takeoff, we were told to taxi to runway 6. We asked if we could taxi to runway 10 because of the wind. I must have had runway 10 in my mind, because before I knew it we were on runway 10 (runway incursion). Ground was nice about it and told us to turn around or taxi to runway 6, down runway 6, then taxi down runway 10, do a 180 degree turn and cleared for takeoff. There were no other aircraft in or around the airport. There were no conflicts. We apologized to the ground and he said that's ok, see ya next time. My duties inside the cockpit preoccupied my real job of taxiing to the correct runway. This won't happen again. Also, it was late at night and we had been on duty a long time.
