Narrative:
On the bonham 1 arrival just about 5 mi southwest of the bonham VOR when ATC informed us that jumpers were about to leave an aircraft up at 13000 ft. We were at 11000 ft. They were at our 1 O'clock position and 5 mi. I requested an immediate left turn off course to stay away from them. I questioned ATC if this was a normal occurrence and he said they have had this problem before. At 250 KTS there is very little chance of seeing a skydiver. This is a very dangerous situation. Personally I do not know why a person would want to skydive smack in the middle of a busy arrival but they did it anyway.
