Narrative:
In sum: private pilot on first solo cross country makes it to his first stop. He gets a short WX briefing and attempts to return to his departure airport on the round robin. Xwinds aloft set up too much drift and he gets lost, finally, low on fuel, he lands at a visually sighted airport. After calling flight school he again attempts to get back to home base, but bad WX foils his plans. He goes IMC in VFR flight and finally gets a flight assist from another aircraft in the area with vectors out of the WX. He lands at yet another airport and calls it a day.
