Narrative:
On bonham 1 (BYP1) arrival to dfw from mci while on the dfw 037 degree radial at about 12 DME received a TA for traffic at about 2 O'clock and about 2000 ft below us. We were IMC at the time and could not see the traffic. Shortly there after we received an RA for the same contact and followed the ivsi to climb. Climbed from 11000 ft to 11900 ft before receiving clear of conflict. Contact had leveled at 10000 ft as they were apparently on departure from dfw. Advised ATC immediately and advised them that we were descending now to 11000 ft. ATC acknowledged and cleared us to 6000 ft. The TA appeared to have been a bump up from a dfw departure. There was no apparent conflict with any traffic observed at any time.
