Narrative:
The visibility was near takeoff minimums with a short taxi. Engines started at gate, anti-ice on for takeoff, light weight. Autothrottles failed to engage properly on takeoff. During climb at 8500 ft, airspeed exceeded 250 KTS before discrepancy was discovered.

Narrative: THE VISIBILITY WAS NEAR TKOF MINIMUMS WITH A SHORT TAXI. ENGS STARTED AT GATE, ANTI-ICE ON FOR TKOF, LIGHT WT. AUTOTHROTTLES FAILED TO ENGAGE PROPERLY ON TKOF. DURING CLB AT 8500 FT, AIRSPD EXCEEDED 250 KTS BEFORE DISCREPANCY WAS DISCOVERED.
