Narrative:
Given taxi instructions to go on inactive runway to runway 24. Runway lights off. Came to run-up line leaving runway 35 and came to taxiway with approximately 24 degree heading. I mistook this to be runway 24 and did run-up and position and hold on taxiway. Controller stopped takeoff roll before I had gone far. Night conditions, relatively little large airport night experience and width of taxiway and my heading confused me. No other planes on taxiway at time. Intersection was not well marked.
