Narrative:
I had planned an early-evening flight to oxnard municipal airport with a non-pilot friend. Oxnard airport is located approximately 5 NM northwest of naws point mugu. At approximately XX00. I established contact with oxnard tower. They requested that I identify using my transponder, which I did. Subsequently I was cleared to land. My direction of flight on final was between 210-250 degrees -- such that my visibility was significantly impaired due to the glare of the setting sun. Upon contact with the runway, my visibility was restored to the degree that I realized I was not at oxnard, but in fact on a substantially larger runway at an unfamiliar facility. I immediately applied full power and resumed flight, having touched down only briefly. A few mins later, oxnard tower contacted me and asked my location. I responded that I was overwater and requested permission to transition to return to van nuys. The request was approved and I returned to vny without incident. At no time while I was in the restr airspace did I observe any aircraft on the runway, taxiway or in the air at or near naws point mugu.

Title: SMA MADE TOUCH AND GO LNDG AT NTD. HIS DEST WAS OXR AND HE WAS IN CONTACT WITH OXR TWR. REDUCED VISIBILITY DUE SUN POS.
Narrative: I HAD PLANNED AN EARLY-EVENING FLT TO OXNARD MUNICIPAL ARPT WITH A NON-PLT FRIEND. OXNARD ARPT IS LOCATED APPROX 5 NM NW OF NAWS POINT MUGU. AT APPROX XX00. I ESTABLISHED CONTACT WITH OXNARD TWR. THEY REQUESTED THAT I IDENT USING MY XPONDER, WHICH I DID. SUBSEQUENTLY I WAS CLRED TO LAND. MY DIRECTION OF FLT ON FINAL WAS BTWN 210-250 DEGS -- SUCH THAT MY VISIBILITY WAS SIGNIFICANTLY IMPAIRED DUE TO THE GLARE OF THE SETTING SUN. UPON CONTACT WITH THE RWY, MY VISIBILITY WAS RESTORED TO THE DEG THAT I REALIZED I WAS NOT AT OXNARD, BUT IN FACT ON A SUBSTANTIALLY LARGER RWY AT AN UNFAMILIAR FACILITY. I IMMEDIATELY APPLIED FULL PWR AND RESUMED FLT, HAVING TOUCHED DOWN ONLY BRIEFLY. A FEW MINS LATER, OXNARD TWR CONTACTED ME AND ASKED MY LOCATION. I RESPONDED THAT I WAS OVERWATER AND REQUESTED PERMISSION TO TRANSITION TO RETURN TO VAN NUYS. THE REQUEST WAS APPROVED AND I RETURNED TO VNY WITHOUT INCIDENT. AT NO TIME WHILE I WAS IN THE RESTR AIRSPACE DID I OBSERVE ANY ACFT ON THE RWY, TXWY OR IN THE AIR AT OR NEAR NAWS POINT MUGU.
