Narrative:
Cleared for night takeoff. Turned head to check for traffic on final before taking runway. Pulled aircraft on to runway. Mistook edge lighting for centerline lighting. As I tried to line up on lights, noticed they were edge lights. Turned away from lights, returned to ramp. At this time did not know if propeller strike had occurred. Airport personnel confirmed 1 edge light had been struck. Damage to propeller.
