Narrative:

During preflight, checked WX. Temperatures were +1 degree C, ceilings during preflight reported higher than 3000 ft MSL, no ice or freezing drizzle, no reported ice (aircraft were taking off). Before takeoff, aircraft reported icing in the clouds but none below. Decided to take off and stay below clouds, so maintained 3000 ft and below (MSL). As we flew further north of airport, began to pick up a trace of ice under the clouds so decided to go into airport for full stop. On descent ice dissipated and still no report of any freezing drizzle. Icing was only reported in clouds. We were out of clouds the entire time as we were just under them. No icing under clouds was reported.
