Narrative:
While preparing for departure from cos airport I vomited on the ramp area. It was fairly sudden and I hadn't had symptoms previous to this except a little loss of appetite. Once I finished being sick I felt 100 percent better. I notified the captain and we discussed the situation. I decided to continue the operation back to stl. I reasoned that it seemed whatever it was that made me sick was gone now since I now felt fine. Boy was I wrong. An hour into flight I was suddenly sick again. Then right after felt better again. I was able to complete my PNF duties, but feel I was absolutely stupid to have flown on to stl. I had never had symptoms like this before, but I learned a big lesson from this. That lesson being that my stomach can be unpredictable. I didn't realize what was coming. I got into stl, the company called out a reserve and I went home. I was extremely ill for the next 24 hours. I believe I may have caught some sort of flu. A fever also later developed. Well, I won't do that again! I will use informed judgement next time.
