Narrative:
During an initial descent clearance from cruise on top in VMC and being vectored to the ILS final, both alternator warning lights illuminated. An immediate request was made to ATC to climb back to VMC and we may need vectors to our VFR alternate, elmira. ATC gave us an initial climb to 8000 ft and heading 180 degrees. As we cleaned up for the climb confign, I called for the aircraft manual to address the alternator problem. We followed the manual and the system returned to normal. We advised ATC that we could return to the bgm ILS at their convenience as we'd restored both alternators and had normal voltage indications. ATC reclred us and we landed without incident. After arrival we rechked all system and all was normal. I called approach control on the phone to let them know our situation and ATC had no problem and was happy all went well. We had maintenance check the aircraft and they found no problem and the system within limits. We flew the aircraft 2 more legs later in the afternoon and had no further problems.

Title: SMT AIR TAXI ON VECTOR FOR APCH TO BGM NOTES BOTH ALTERNATOR WARNING LIGHTS ON. REQUEST IMMEDIATE CLB TO VMC AND POSSIBLE VECTOR TO VFR ALTERNATE. CHK ACFT MANUAL AND ABLE TO CORRECT PROB. CTLR VECTORED FOR APCH AND LNDG BGM. MAINT CHKED ALL SYS NORMAL.

WE HAD MAINT CHK THE ACFT AND THEY FOUND NO PROB AND THE SYS WITHIN LIMITS. WE FLEW THE ACFT 2 MORE LEGS LATER IN THE AFTERNOON AND HAD NO FURTHER PROBS.
